Before this test can be run, Content Creators must upload their samples in the corresponding "Create Document" test.  

In this test, Content Consumers are encouraged to test with sample documents which have been marked “EXAMINED – SAMPLE VALID”. Consuming validated samples reduces the possibility of encountering issues that result from invalid content in the sample.

 

Description

This is a peer-to-peer test to demonstrate that the Content Consumer can interpret the document produced by the Content Creator. That is a test of both actors and either actor may initiate the test.

There are four processing options defined for the Content Consumer.  See the Evaluation section for the requirements for these options. In this test, Content Consumers are encouraged to test with sample documents which have been marked ÒEXAMINED Ð SAMPLE VALIDÓ. Evaluation

The monitor is looking for evidence that the Content Consumer processes its declared options.

Description

 

For the VIEW option,

  • the Consumer must display ALL content marked “R” (Required)
  • if the document provided by the Content Creator includes a reference to a stylesheet, the Consumer must render the document using that stylesheet

 

 

For the DOCUMENT IMPORT option, the Consumer MUST:

  • support the VIEW capabilities above
  • store the entire document in its application

 

 

For the SECTION IMPORT option, the Consumer MUST:

  • support the VIEW capabilities above
  • import of one or more Required sections in the document
  • describe for the monitor how their application tracks this document section to the original document

 

 

For the DISCRETE DATA IMPORT option, the Consumer MUST:

  • demonstrate that the user can select entries from required entries within the required sections that include structured content
  • describe for the monitor how their application tracks this document section to the original document
  • store the selected entries in their application

 

 

If the evaluation steps for the demonstrated options are correct:

  • mark this test ‘Verified’

Else:

  • mark this test ‘Partially verified’ or ‘Failed’
